Speaker: Rabbi Lenore Bohm,
Director of Adult Jewish Education at the Jewish Community Center, La Jolla.
Rabbi Bohm will invite us to consider the ill-favored Vasti and sometimes-complicit Esther as feminist heroines in an important reflection on spiritual empowerment found in the the Book of Esther. She will also explain the celebration of the holiday of Purim, initiated
in the Book of Esther.
